The School of Information Technology and Mathematical Science (ITMS) has won the Table Tennis competition in the VC Cup for their third consecutive year.

In Event One of the 2019 VC Cup, 15 teams participated in the event on Friday, March 29 at City East Campus.

They all tried to beat ITMS, but the student team maintained their winning streak they have held since 2017.

There was great hype surrounding the grand final, as it was a rematch of 2018’s final, with ITMS prevailed consigning the School of Health Sciences to Runners Up.

It was a tight battle, but ITMS came on top again, as Health Sciences finished runners up. UniSA International placed third.

Miguel Santos, was a member of the winning team and said he was very pleased to be a part of, and win, the VC Cup event again.

“The highly anticipated Vice Chancellor’s Cup ignites the competitive fire within every UniSA School year after year,” Miguel said.

“Winning for the third time in a row brings me great triumph and honour, both as an ITMS student and as President of the UniSA Table Tennis Club.

“Our team is thrilled to have more fun in the coming events and hopefully, keep the streak going, even after I graduate.”

Event two of the VC Cup – badminton – is being held at Pridham Hall on Friday, May 24.
