About Us
Welcome to UniSA Esports! Established in 2018, the UniSA Esports Club focusses on bringing together video game enthusiasts in both social and competitive spheres. Our members represent the University of South Australia across multiple eSports titles, and provide members the opportunity to compete at local, state, and national levels, competing against the top universities in Australia. We promote and harbour the development of talent and strive to train our players to be able to perform at a high standard of play. We respect teamwork and cooperation between our players, and encourage good sportsmanship throughout all our events and competitions.
Social Events
The UniSA Esports Club run many social events throughout the year, both online and in person, for members to meet new people while playing their favourite titles! Check the UniSA Esports socials for up-to-date information on upcoming events.
Competitions
We’re always on the look out for competitive opportunities for our members. Yearly events we regularly compete in include: - UniSport Nationals (League of Legends) - AEL University Cup host Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and Rocket League. (Dota 2, Rainbow Six: Siege and a couple other may be available this year) - SA Challenge (Rocket League, League of Legends, Super Smash Bros.) Most of the competitions that our club focuses on require competitors to be enrolled UniSA students, and preferably have paid UniSA Esports memberships (but Social memberships can be accepted) - these costs assist the club to run admin duties and/or training sessions required to put forward competitive teams.
Governance
UniSA Esports is a representative member of the AESA (Australian Esport Association) University Committee; Australia's premier governing body for esports recognition. The AESA is an official member of the IeSF (International e-Sport Federation).
Memberships
To join the club you must be a current Team UniSA member (free for UniSA Students and $30 for UniSA Staff, Alumni and community members). 2024 UniSA Esports Club Memberships are now available: - Esports Social Membership: Free! - Esports Premium Membership: $20 (UniSA Students receive a $5 discount!)
