The University of South Australia’s Pridham Hall stadium now has an FIBA certified, international standard sports floor after an upgrade.

Immediately following UniSA’s December graduations, supplier Maxwood Technologies began work on upgrading the stadium floor.

It took three months to complete the work and the finished product looks outstanding and performs even better.

With court linings for sports such as basketball, badminton, netball, volleyball, indoor lacrosse and handball, the courts are sure to be extremely popular amongst UniSA students, staff and sport clubs for years to come.

UniSA’s Basketball Club is one of a number of UniSA clubs that resumed their trainings at Pridham Hall once restrictions lifted on indoor sporting trainings.

The club recently relocated to Pridham Hall due to the upgraded courts and because it allowed them to have a central base.

President of the UniSA Basketball Club, Arnold Opindi, said that the club was stoked to be back training and even happier once they saw the new floor.

“The Basketball Club was very excited to be back training and everyone loved the Pridham Hall courts, they were great,” Opindi said.

“The new courts will allow the club to attract more student members and members in general due to fact that we now have a more centralised location as well and the new courts will entice more serious players to come out to the facility.

“After our first training, one of our alumni members said the Pridham Hall courts were the best in Adelaide.”

The courts will reopen for badminton paid play on Monday, July 6. More details about accessing the courts is available on our website.
