UniSA Karate Club Grading Fee
Grading fee for all students undertaking a grading.
The UniSA Karate Club specialises in traditional Goju-Kai karate, offering training in kata, kumite, and self-defense techniques. The club also supports members in achieving fitness goals, building confidence, and fostering personal growth.
About Us
The UniSA Karate Club is affiliated with the International Karate Gojukai Association (IKGA). We welcome new members of all skill levels, from beginners to those with previous martial arts experience. Membership is open to UniSA students, staff, alumni, and the wider community. Our chief instructor, with over 30 years of experience in traditional Goju-Kai karate, provides training in kata, kumite, and self-defense techniques.
Training
The club trains at UniSA City East Campus in Brookman Hall every Monday and Wednesday night from 6:15-8:00 pm and at UniSA City West Campus in Group Fitness Room Pridham Hall, , every Sunday from 10:45 am to 12:30 pm. Occasionally, the club also conducts outdoor training sessions, including beach training and city runs.
Fees
To join the club you must be a current [Team UniSA member](free for UniSA Students and $30 for UniSA Staff, Alumni and community members).
Club training fees are:
$100 per semester (6 months) for UniSA students
$175 per semester (6 months) for UniSA staff, alumni and community members, plus UniSA Sport membership. Please see the How to Join the Club page for more details.
Our club offers two weeks of free training before sign-up. All you need to bring is casual sports clothes.
