Parent Information Guide

Communication
All official UniSA FC communication is via email from unisafc@gmail.com.
Coaches and Team Managers communicate using WhatsApp groups for each team. It is essential
that at least one parent/carer is a member of the WhatsApp group for the team.
If you need to be added to your team's WhatsApp group, please email unisafc@gmail.com and
let us know. We are happy to add both parents/carers for each player to the group.

Dates
January – Summer training commences
February – Official pre-season training starts
March – Official games commence – details will be provided via email
September – Season ends
October – training and try outs for following season

Training
Pre-season training commences in October and continues until February/March. Some teams may train twice a week, others once a week during summer.
Training during the season is twice per week for all teams. All training, unless notified via WhatApp, will be at the Magill Campus oval. It is expected that players do not miss training often.

Parents do not need to stay for training, but you are very welcome to stay and chat. Your
assistance in collecting balls is most welcome!

Bring a water bottle (or two) to every training session. There is a water bottle refill station on the
left as you drive in from St Bernard's Road, parents should do this for players.

Please inform your coach (via your WhatsApp group) if you can't make it to training on any given
day.

Also, please refer to the FSA extreme weather policy https://www.footballsa.com.au/news/ffsa-extreme-weather-policy .
We will be relying on the guidelines when determining whether training is to continue or be cancelled.
If training is cancelled, it will be communicated via the WhatsApp group.

Safety
Players must wear shin pads and soccer boots for all training sessions and games.

There are toilets located in the Gym building (behind the grandstand). If the boys need to go to
the toilet during training, they must always go with a buddy and inform the coach. Younger players should always be accompanied by a parent.

All parents are required to follow the UniSA Sport Code of Conduct at all times (please see
attached)
. The Code is a set of consistent guidelines for an acceptable standard of behaviour
that will enable a positive, safe and enjoyable experience for UniSA Sport members. The Code
also enables action to be taken against anyone engaged in a UniSA Sport activity or event that
behaves in an unacceptable manner.

Rules
Every competition is governed by a certain set of rules. Please refer to the following information
1, Junior Premier and State League Competition Operating Regulations
2, Miniroos Rules and Playing Formats

Uniforms

We have two strips - The home strip is blue and the away strip is white. We also have a green training top which should be worn to all training sessions. Please bring both home and away strips to all matches, in case of a colour clash.

Fees for 2023
Fees for the 2023 season have been set as follows:
U6-U7 Total fees $500
U8-U9 Total fees $600
U10-U11 Total Fees $700
U12/U14 Total Fees $800

Sport Voucher
With Payment 2, parents will have the ability to subsidise this payment by using the SA
Government Sports Voucher for 2023.
Sports Vouchers are a program run by the SA Government. You can find more information here:
https://www.sportsvouchers.sa.gov.au/. Each voucher is valued at $100.
Anyone who has already used the 2023 voucher (for soccer or another sport, including returning
UniSA FC players), may NOT use it again. Completed forms must be returned to UniSA FC by email when wishing to subsidise payment.

In recouping the Sports Voucher, parents will need to provide the player's Medicare number.
Please make sure to include Individual Reference Number - this is the number on your Medicare
card next to your child's name. UniSA FC cannot claim the Government voucher if the Medicare
number is not provided and you will be required to pay the $100.

Feedback
We're always looking to improve UniSA FC. If you have any feedback or comments, please email
it to unisafc@gmail.com or speak to a member of the Committee.
We wish all players, parents and coaches success in 2023!
