Ishika Mahajan volunteers with UniSA Sport. She’s an active member of the UniSA tennis club. And currently in her fourth year of the Bachelor of Biomedical Research (Honours). Despite her busy schedule, Ishika says volunteering has such a positive impact on her mental health, that it helps her find balance with her classes, work and extra-curriculars.
When asked about her experience working with the UniSA Sport team, she says, “they’re a team that cares about your values, it’s a privilege to work with them.”
As a UniSA Sport Activator, she has volunteered at events such as Campus Fair, O-Week and SA Challenge. And, she oversees the UniSA tennis club’s marketing.
“I have formed so many lifelong connections and expanded my network”, she says. Not to mention the “valuable leadership and professional skills which will help me achieve my future career goals.”
