UniSport Australia is the peak governing body for university sport in Australia. Working closely with its members, state and national sporting organisations, UniSport Australia operates regional, national and international sporting competitions. These events cover over forty sports in championship and games format, including the prestigious UniSport Nationals Div 1 and Div 2, and the very popular Australian University Championships.
UniSA Sport co-hosts the annual SA Challenge
, an intervarsity sports tournament where UniSA students compete against cross-town rivals the University of Adelaide and Flinders University in multiple sports across two Fridays in Study Period 2. The event is sanctioned by UniSport Australia.
Each year UniSA Sport sends students interstate to compete in the UniSport Nationals Div 1 and Div 2. With a focus on performance, Nationals Div 2 is a qualification event for Nationals Div 1 where student athletes from 42 Australian Universities compete in multiple team and individual sports for Nationals gold. In addition to these events, students can also compete and represent UniSA at the World University Games, pending qualification.
The 2019 UniSport Nationals Div 1 and Div 2 will be held on the Gold Coast in July (Div 2) and September/October (Div 1). Click on the relevant tile below for more information.
