UniSA Sport Facilities Update as of 3 September 2021


IMPORTANT INFORMATION: UNISA SPORT FACILITIES ARE NOW OPEN

All UniSA Sports gyms, pool and indoor programs are operating as normal with a current density ratio of 1 person/4m2. Please ensure you continue to wear a mask at all times while within our facilities, except while exercising

If you feel unwell or have had close contact with a confirmed or suspected case of COVID-19, please stay home. Please remember to adhere to our COVID-19 protocols, including bringing a towel to every workout, using the hand sanitiser provided before entering and leaving and following floor markers and social distancing requirements in the facilities.

What you need to be aware of prior to visiting any UniSA Sport facility

Face masks are now be required to be worn on campus including in facilities, except while exercising. 
 
• You are required to bring a gym towel. There will be no exceptions to the rule, NO TOWEL – NO WORKOUT. (Towels are available for purchase from all UniSA Sport reception counters for $8.00).

• Water fountains are avaible to fill water bottles only.

• You are required to wipe down equipment before and after every use with fitwipes provided. Extra cleaning/sanitising spray will be made readily available
 
Group Fitness classes at Pridham Hall have recommenced and you can view our new timetable on our website here.

Prior to your first group fitness class:

• We strongly encourage participants to bring their own mat to Yoga and Pilates classes.

• You are required to bring a gym towel. There will be no exceptions to the rule, NO TOWEL – NO WORKOUT. (Towels are available for purchase from all UniSA Sport reception counters for $8.00)

• Casual visitors will need to provide their name, phone number and email address prior to attending a class

• You are required to wipe down equipment before and after every use with fitwipes provided. Extra cleaning/sanitising spray will be made readily available

• Ensure you use the hand sanitiser provided BEFORE and AFTER every class.

• Class size will be capped at 30

• You must adhere to floor markers and social distancing requirements.

UniSA Sport Clubs Update as at 3 August 2021


All UniSA Sport Clubs have a COVID Safe Plan to keep members safe. Please adhere to your clubs COVID Safe Plan and ensure you check in at each club session for the purpose of contact tracing.

Please follow any requests made by the COVID Safe Marshal who is ensuring all members are abiding by their COVID Safe plan. Masks are mandatory in all indoor public places while you are not exercising. Spectators at indoor stadiums are allowed, but should be physically distancing themselves from one another. Please bring your own water bottle to training sessions and do not attend training if you are feeling unwell.

UniSA Sport Events Updates

There are many opportunities for students, staff and alumni to get involved in intervarsity sport and events. Click on the events below for updated information.
 
The VC Cup is back in 2021 and will be run in accordance with our COVID-Safe Plan. To register your interest as a participant, contact your team manager here.

Intervarsity Sport Updates

The 2021 SP2 and SP5 SA Challenge intervarsity tournaments are being held on various dates throughout the year. All competitions will be run in accordance with our COVID-Safe Plan. Visit our website to register.
The 2021 UniSport Nationals Div 1 and Div 2 multi-sport event will be held on the Gold Coast in late September however UniSA students and staff will not be participating in the event due to the significant health and financial risks should a COVID-19 outbreak occur in the lead up to, or during the event. This aligns to the UniSA Vice Chancellor’s most recent communication regarding COVID-19 restrictions for students and staff. The UniSA Sport team will focus on local intervarsity sport opportunities that students can participate in throughout the second half of the year, including the SP5 SA Challenge intervarsity tournament.
