UniSA Sport Clubs Update

Sporting clubs play an important role in people’s health and wellbeing. With the easing of restrictions and in line with the Recovery Roadmap for South Australia and the University, UniSA Sport clubs who participate outdoors recommenced training from May 8th. With the reopening of the University’s sport and recreation facilities on June 15th, indoor clubs will recommence their training form this date.

Progressively clubs will be able to compete in competitions and the timing of this will vary between sports depending on whether they are indoor, outdoor, contact or a non-contact sport.

Clubs are currently working closely with UniSA Sport and their peak sporting body to develop a return to sport plan to ensure strict hygiene and social distancing protocols are adhered to as set out by the SA Government. Sport will look a little different on the return to your club and this will be communicated by your club prior to training recommencing.

If you have not joined a UniSA Sport club, now is a great time to get involved. Check out the UniSA Sport website for the list of clubs and for further information.
